Another great day on the building site. The volunteers setting trusses made considerable progress as 3/4 of the trusses are now on the building. The sheeting (sheets of plywood) cover most of the trusses. With good weather in the morning, Builders for Christ volunteers will be able to finish setting trusses to the rest of the building. All the volunteers and onlookers were encouraged by the stunning visual progress of the building.
At lunch, Paul took an opportunity to have a little fun with Lawrence and Lillian Corley as they celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. The celebration included gifts of matching cheese head hats for the couple (Paul assured as OSHA certified) and anniversary cake.
In the evening there was an informal worship service that included Builders For Christ volunteers along with a crowd from Jacob's Well. It was a meaningful service that included worship, testimonies from 4 individuals along with sharing from Paul and Lawrence. A great time together finishing off a great day!
