Tent Raising

The tent was put up this afternoon behind the office wing.  We'll be serving meals for 50 and 100 people a day out there during the summer.  The Builders for Christ team will be excited it's so close to the kitchen.

Photo Team

One of the Logistics Teams is our Photography Team. It's become a big team and they'll be snapping photos shortly. They will be loaded onto this site frequently! JJ, Darren, Lisa and other team members, will also planning on capturing a time lapse of the project. That will be awesome to see the building progress throughout the project!

Thanks JJ and the rest of the Photo Team!!

Awesome Weather

Progress Today....we received the trusses! Tent prep has started. Hopefully, they will be able to put it up tomorrow. This will be the meal tent for the Builders For Christ volunteers.

Another beautiful day!!

Creating a Fire Pit

We want to create a fire pit near the office wing of the building for our security team to use at night. We're looking for some chairs or some picnic benches. Someone donated a ring to us. We also would like some firewood or could use some help pulling the dead branches out of the woods. If you would like to help us set up a fire pit, give Kim a call 715-833-2050 or email at kim@jacobswellec.org. Thanks.

God's Time! BEST TIME!

10 Year Anniversary Video

PRAISE!!

Due to unexpected giving to the Decades Project this past week, we are now at only $180,000 left to reach our financial goal by August! That's less than 10%!! This is one of the greatest ways that God has shown up in the hearts and unity of His people. Woohoo!! Please keep praying for the rest of the finances to fall into place.

Cindy BFC Trip

Check out Cindy's story from last weekend's services (May 14/15) about how she took a step of faith and went on a Builders For Christ project last year.

Ten years ago, we started Jacob’s Well. During our first five years, we met in schools in the Eau Claire area. And in the summer of 2006, we built our first building with the help of a construction ministry, Builders For Christ.

What’s Happening?
This year we’ve outgrown our space. We also have recognized our need to provide a place for our youth and twenty-somethings to worship, grow and to belong. So this summer, we are building again. Builders For Christ is returning to help us to do that. We are adding a 16,000 sq. ft. student ministry addition, which will include a 2nd worship auditorium.

Who’s Builders For Christ?
Builders For Christ is a network of 2000 volunteers from 135 churches who will work on two projects this summer. They’ve built 57 churches or additions in its 30 years of existence. The founder and leader of the ministry is Lawrence Corley, senior partner of an architectural firm in Birmingham, Alabama. This is the second trip to the Chippewa Valley, as Builders For Christ built Jacob’s Well’s first initial building in the summer of 2006.

Teams from Builders For Christ will arrive in Eau Claire Memorial Day weekend and work throughout the summer. Volunteers, who take their own vacation and pay their own way, will come from at least 15 different states (Alabama, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Colorado and Connecticut to name a few).

Big Things to Pray About

Here are several things we need prayer for...

1. Electrical and Plumbing work to be done in next two weeks.
2. Site to be dry enough to pour concrete....dry sunny days!
3. Two tents to get set up for Builders for Christ and all the other logistics to be completed
4. Greg Smoczyk and all the coordination he has in these next two weeks.
5. Future parking lots to be prepared
6. Preparations for Builders For Christ. These first weeks are critical weeks to overall success of this project.

God, at times like this we see our dependence on you.
