New app!

Greetings on this gorgeous fall day!

We're launching an app for Jacob's Well (more info coming soon), and we've dusted off the Jacob's Well blog. In the past we used it to keep everyone updated on the exciting things that were happening with building the North Venue wing. God has been gracious, and the North Venue is thriving and growing! Thank you for all you've contributed to making it a success!

How is the blog going to be used in the future? That's the question of the day...stay tuned...more to come soon.  :)

Anniversary Service & Grand Opening - Feb. 4 & 5

It was a great Christmas season at Jacob's Well as we settled into our added space. We saw our largest Christmas Eve services to date. It was a powerful, impacting night with worship, Silent Night by candle light and our elementary students doing a live nativity after two of our services.

As we enter into 2012, we are looking forward to our Grand Opening weekend of the new student building. This weekend will also give us the opportunity for celebrating our 11th anniversary. We have invited the leader of the Builders For Christ ministry, Lawrence Corley to be a part of that service. It promises to be a meaningful service reflecting on our past, celebrating our new building and looking with anticipation into the future to see how God will move in the Chippewa Valley.

So mark your calendars for the weekend of February 4th and 5th! We'll have our regular services times for that weekend. Hope you will join us!

We Made It!!

We did it...of course, with God leading the way! On Saturday, we got the building ready to hold our first weekend of services. And it was awesome! There was an excitement and a joy to be in our new space. Here are a few highlights....
  • The expression on the elementary children's faces as they entered into their new space
  • The service of volunteers throughout the new space...serving coffee, teaching children, leading worship, welcoming people at the doors
  • 151 people in our first service....1634 people worshipping for the weekend
  • Throughout the weekend, it was just seemless....smooth services as if was a typical Sunday
  • HS youth walking into their own space on Sunday night....not having to borrow space anymore
Thank you, God, for providing this tool to Jacob's Well and to the Chippewa Valley. We are humbled by the thousand people giving thousands of hours in this project. You're presence has been evident from the first day of this project through this weekend. We can't wait to see how you will use this new space.

Upcoming Work Nights

Here are the next work nights....

Friday Night 6-9pm
Saturday 8am - 2pm (lunch at noon)

We'd like to finish the classrooms completely this weekend...that means putting on the base now that the carpet is on, cleaning, touch up painting and maybe installing carpet in the elementary theater. It's fun at this stage of the project to see rooms completed!

No need to sign up....just show up.

Thanks to all who came out this week. We completed the carpeting in the hallway!!!
